TCS 2010 Community and Joining Dates
Students of the country’s best engineering colleges may now have to wait till their final year for clinching a job with an IT firm. In a bid to get greater visibility of the business environment while hiring, IT companies, such as TCS and Wipro Technologies, are now looking to push campus recruitments closer to the pass-out date. This is sure to calm down freshers aspiring to join these two leading companies. Good to hear that people are not laying off or stopped recruiting at least. To read more click here. Thass a sad one ..... Nevertheless I guess there are more opportunities on their way !!!
ReplyDeletei actually agree.. students do tend to feel satisfied and give up studies after their placements.. besides, rightly, this would give us more time to prepared for the tests and all...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, this is a really dignified way on their part to handle the economic situation without depriving anyone who aspires to join these dream companies.
ReplyDeleteHi Rahul :)
ReplyDeleteVery difficult situation for youngsters. Actually the impact of recession has not fully come into India. I think at present only the IT companies are feeling the pinch. Soon it will spread to other companies as well. Then there will be all round suffering and many families will be financially affected very badly.
I hope and pray this terrible recession will end fast.
Many thanks for posting all latest developments in the IT companies.
Best wishes :)
Your article is very informative!
ReplyDeletea big news for students awaiting jobs this year..but good news is its postponed only, not cancelled :)
ReplyDeletei think the decision of hiring the students at their final semister will certainly help students concentrating on their studies...but companies shouldn't delay in giving their offer letter>>>>
ReplyDeletegot my TCS offer letter yesterday!! Hooray!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's better to recruit the students in the beginning of finalyear.I hope they would get enough knowledge for attending the interview.

ReplyDeletecan i know the criteria for the placement in the top companies.I am studying 3rd year engg in an anna univ affliated college.
ReplyDeletehello. This is informative.can i know how the companies would recruite for the freshers & the basic criteria for the placement for ECE students.
ReplyDeletei am doing my engg 3rd year in anna univ affiliated college.
and also i want to know about the percentage of marks in UG they prefer.
@anusha
ReplyDeleteIt varies from company to company, but most companies focus on your knowledge in the core subjects of your stream (eg.if you are computer science engineering, you need to have Java, C, Data Structure, DBMS, Software Engineering, etc. your strong subjects) besides having cool communication skills. Hope this helps :)
@ anusha
ReplyDeleteFor ECE students u need to know some basic CS subjects like data structure etc. also u will be asked questions from ur favorite core subjects of ECE. Basic criteria that companies look for is 60% marks since class X. Also as rahul said communication skills are the most important thing. For Example - INFOSYS doesnt even take technical interview/test. So u can easily get away with apti test and HR interview
@ MITHUN
