Students of the country’s best engineering colleges may now have to wait till their final year for clinching a job with an IT firm. In a bid to get greater visibility of the business environment while hiring, IT companies, such as TCS and Wipro Technologies, are now looking to push campus recruitments closer to the pass-out date. This is sure to calm down freshers aspiring to join these two leading companies. Good to hear that people are not laying off or stopped recruiting at least. To read more click here. 2. i actually agree.. students do tend to feel satisfied and give up studies after their placements.. besides, rightly, this would give us more time to prepared for the tests and all...

  3. Absolutely, this is a really dignified way on their part to handle the economic situation without depriving anyone who aspires to join these dream companies.

  4. Hi Rahul :)

Very difficult situation for youngsters. Actually the impact of recession has not fully come into India. I think at present only the IT companies are feeling the pinch. Soon it will spread to other companies as well. Then there will be all round suffering and many families will be financially affected very badly.

I hope and pray this terrible recession will end fast.

Many thanks for posting all latest developments in the IT companies.

    Best wishes :)

It varies from company to company, but most companies focus on your knowledge in the core subjects of your stream (eg.if you are computer science engineering, you need to have Java, C, Data Structure, DBMS, Software Engineering, etc. your strong subjects) besides having cool communication skills. Hope this helps :)

  14. @ anusha

For ECE students u need to know some basic CS subjects like data structure etc. also u will be asked questions from ur favorite core subjects of ECE. Basic criteria that companies look for is 60% marks since class X. Also as rahul said communication skills are the most important thing. For Example - INFOSYS doesnt even take technical interview/test. So u can easily get away with apti test and HR interview

TCS is coming to my college on 15th january for 2010 batch. But apart from past years criteria for campussing, they are having the criteria of one year gap. This is quite frustrating as I am not eligible under this criteria. Till last year there was nothing like than then why only this year they are having this.
anybody having any logical reason for this??
